Who we are

Baan Bea Thai Massage & Beauty is a Thai massage and beauty clinic at 131 Leman Street, Lower Ground Floor, London E1 8EY. In short, we collect your name, mobile number, email address and the treatment you are interested in, so that we can reply to your enquiry and book your appointment.

Baan Bea is the trading name of Piyarat Brady, a sole trader. We decide how the information described in this notice is used, which makes us the data controller for it.

What we collect

Details you give us when you enquire or book — your name, mobile number, email address, the treatment you are interested in, the time of week you prefer, and anything you write in the message box.

A confirmation that you are 18 or over, where a treatment requires it.

Your marketing preference — whether you have agreed to hear from us with offers and news.

Where your enquiry came from — for example the campaign or link that brought you to our website.

Appointment records — the treatments you have had with us, and any notes our practitioners need in order to look after you.

Account details, if you choose to create an account on this website.

Standard technical information collected by our analytics, described under Cookies and analytics below.

Why we use it

To reply to your enquiry and arrange your appointment. We need your contact details to do this.

To keep a record of your treatments, so our practitioners can work safely and consistently.

To send you offers and news, but only where you have agreed to it.

To understand how our website is used, so that we can improve it and our advertising.

To meet our legal and accounting obligations.

Our basis for using it

We use your details because you have asked us to arrange a treatment, because you have agreed to something specific such as marketing, and because we have a legitimate interest in running and improving our clinic.

If you tell us something about your health so that we can treat you safely, we treat that as sensitive information and use it only for your care.

Marketing

You will only hear from us with offers and news if you ticked the box when you enquired, or told us another way. If you did not agree to it, we do not send you marketing messages.

Every message we send includes a way to stop, and you can ask us to stop at any time by replying to us or emailing info@baanbea.co.uk.

Cookies and advertising

This website uses cookies for advertising and measurement only if you agree to them. When you arrive, a banner asks you to accept or reject them, and we remember what you chose. If you reject them, we do not load the advertising and measurement tools at all, and no advertising cookies are set.

If you accept, we use Google Analytics and Google Ads measurement, and the Meta (Facebook and Instagram) pixel. These set cookies that tell us how many people visit, which pages they read, and which advert or link brought them here, so that we can see whether our advertising is working. We do not use them to identify you personally.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time, and you can opt out of Google Analytics across all websites using Google's browser add-on.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your details, and we do not share them for anyone else's marketing.

We share them only with the service providers who run this website and our messaging and advertising — for example the company that hosts this website, our email and messaging providers, our advertising and measurement providers such as Google and Meta, and our accountants — and only so that they can provide that service to us.

We may also share information where the law requires us to.

How long we keep it

We keep your enquiry details while we are arranging your appointment and for a reasonable period afterwards, and we keep appointment records for as long as our insurers and accountants require.

If you would like us to delete your details, ask us. We will do so unless we are required to keep them.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, ask us to restrict or stop using it, or ask for it in a portable format.
